Sales Manager Hotel Distribution

Purpose

 

Ensure successful selling and adoption of the Amadeus Hotel Marketplace offering to the APAC market (Business Travel Agencies, third parties).  The candidate will directly contribute to the success of the Hotel Distribution in the assigned region,  by driving both revenues and transaction performance. This will be achieved by executing the Amadeus Hospitality strategy as defined Globally as well as Regionally for the business travel market.

The candidate also will require to ensure all pre-sale and account management teams are equipped with the right knowledge and understanding of the solutions and content opportunities to grow Hotel Distributing sales and adoption.

 

 

Main responsibilities

 

Sales of Amadeus Hotel Market place
- Drive the full sales cycle of Hotel Content (GDS and Aggregators)
- Deliver on-site product presentations and demonstrations to key acquisition and development accounts.
- Coordinate closely with Cluster /local sales force on commercial conditions.
- Work with local and central hotel teams to ensure shortest sales to delivery process
- Target existing Amadeus GDS Travel Agency client base, non Amadeus air-GDS clients and third parties tools/distributors.
- Collaborate with local marketing, Represent Amadeus Hotel at conferences and trade shows

 

Customer Hotel Adoption
- Orchestrate  the customer adoption of the Amadeus hotel content, solutions  by selecting and applying the adapted adoption techniques from the adoption menu
- This menu includes techniques such as on-site training, floor-walking, key-account (premium) production support, loyalty programmes, Passive and Manual  analysis and conversion programmes, webservices health checks and optimization, property and rate benchmarks....
- Close cooperation with delivery teams of adoption techniques such as Customer solutions, Hotel offline adoption team, Hotel Sales Engineers, Hotel Commercial operations,  Hotel revenue Mgt, training services
- Coordinate closely with local sales and account managers on customer needs and opportunities
- Repeatedly visit/engage with customers to encourage usage and drive adoption of the Hotel Market place
- As responsible for volume of client usage, raise bottlenecks and remove hurdles for adoption

 

Sales Force Development & upskilling
- Act as an expert of the full Amadeus Hotel marketplace towards local sales and Account Mgt
- Enable sales and Account Mgt to sell successfully Hotel Distribution autonomously
- Continuously monitor hotel industry trends and new players (start-ups etc.) 
- In collaboration with hotel product management provide continuously training & knowledge enhancement to the local ACO sales force on how to qualify, sell & increase customer adoption of the Amadeus Hotel Portfolio including aggregator solutions and related products.

 

Provision of Feedback
- Sales pipeline management, New sales & Adoption reports provision, ad-hoc reporting to local and central senior management
- Share best practices on sales, marketing and adoption techniques, locally, regionally and centrally
- Provide feedback for hotel content and product requirements to Csol, local and central Product management, Hotel Provider account Mgt
- Provide feedback on Process and infrastructure improvements to accelerate release to market, customer delivery, customer service and issue resolution times
- Provide deep field & and customer understanding of hotel related needs and issues  back to central teams (Hotel key account servicing, Product Mgt, Csol...)

 

 

Requirement

 

Education

- University degree in  Business, Marketing, Economics or other related field.
- Other superior education business qualification a plus.

 

Relevant work experience

- 5+ years of sales/ business development experience in a multinational environment.
- 3+ years commercial Experience in Hotel Distribution  (Hotel OTA, Hotel Wholesaler in a B2B / B2C environment).

 

Business understanding

- Solid understanding of travel industry in general and specifically of the hotel distribution business model, aggregator business and hotel on-line players.
- Understanding of GDS and travel agency distribution a plus.

 

Language

English, optional Mandarin (spoken) - any other regional language would be an asset.
